I am a little puzzled about the diagnosis of TM. I know it was 26 years ago
when I started with TM and it happened over a couple of days, so I don't
remember much.
It was weakening in the legs and worked its way up. However, I do went to
about nipple level and to this day, one can sticks a pin in that area and
it feels more sharp in the area that was not affected than in the area that
was. One could go around my body sticking a pin to find the level it went
to and you would almost be able to draw a perfect line around me. I would
guess that the feeling in the affected area is about 95% of the feeling in
the non affected area. As for improvement, I would improve some and then
reach a plateau for a while and then there would be a little improvement
and then another plateau. In response to another letter in which one was
limping, I did that for many years. I saw many a doctor and all attributed
that to my past except for one. He watched me walk. He then made me lie
down and he took out a tape mesa and measured from my navel to each of my
ankles. He found that my left leg was a half inch shorter than my right
leg. I do not know if it is a result of TM or not, but as I said all the
others attributed it to my past. I now have a half inch sole added to the
bottom of my left shoe. I no longer "lean to the left".
