I have tingling in my right foot that definitely gets worse when the foot is
elevated, almost like electric shocks. It stops me from falling asleep
in the first place. I also cry and rub it and stamp the foot without
getting any relief. Darvocet takes the edge off so I usually can find a
comfortable
position and get some rest. I've also taken Baclofen which helped a little
and Elavil and Flexeril which did not help at all but apparently they help
some people because the doctor considered them worth a try.

Do ask your doctor. Pain at night is really miserable.

Good luck.
