Hello Fellow Texan,
I get the feeling that you must be in south Texas. I'm in the forgotten
part, the panhandle. I was married to a Marine, we were stationed in
Hawaii for about 4yrs. Did alot of scuba diving there. It was alot of
fun and we saw so many beautiful things under the sea. I was dx in Oct.
'95. I haven't recoved any since Dec. '95.

I saw a tv program on the Discovery channel awhile back where paralized
people were diving. It was said that most people are at more of an
advantage under water because of the upper bady strenght they have. If
I ever get near the ocean again I would love to try it again. My Dr.
thinks I should be in the water alot for exersize, and the idea sounds
good to me. Maybe you could become a diving instructor for paralized
persons. I'm sure there would be a demand for it.

Anyway, welcome to the club. Have you been discharged on a medical?
The VA or someone would maybe train you to be a PT to teach water
arobics and diving.
