I have been reading this list at work for over a half a year, unable to
respond w/o personal internet access. I have now entered the "modern age"
and want to take the opportunity to say thanks to all of those who share on
the TMIC. Several times I have turned to this list in desperation and anger
to be consoled by your experiences. I was diagnosed w/ TM Nov/96 after a flu
vaccine. With a total of three lesions; C2-C3 and two in the brain that gave
an initial alert of "dormat MS". I have made great progress and consider
myself to be lucky after the initial paralysis, ICU, etc. I am at about an
75% recovery state. Unfortunately, my profession (Navy Diving Officer)
requires a 100% and I am once again plauged by this disorder as I struggle to
find something else to do. In the midst of graduate school applications and
resumes its nice to know I have new friends to help me get through.
