I was diagnosed in 86 with atm. Acute because of onset being
approximately 30 minutes. I'm classified a 't5 para' but have had 'IMO'
a very good recovery. I use a wheelchair and can stand with a good
anchor support, unassisted.
I too, am not afraid, feeling the worst is far behind. I live alone,
have good friends and a wonderful daughter. Tm is a condition that I
live with, and that is all.
Although at times I still morn the loss of my full abilities. And it
can well up to a depressing condition. I can now reach out and come to
grips with myself.
It took many years to learn the glass is half full. Thank you Lord.
