avascular necrosis CAN be a side effect of steroids, doesn't mean it MUST
or WILL be. ANY medication can have nasty side effects for individuals, and
this includes herbals..no medicationm should be taken lightly. BUT the
hoped-for benefit (preventing the worsening of TM) may outweigh the
possible risk. I'll take the chance..but everyone has to make their own
choice, discussing it with their health-care provider, not being frightened
off by what ifs..
