speaking of tests..

Your message about test results made me think that I should post
this question to the group. I had a spinal tap done on 9-18 and although I
got preliminary results back on the protein (normal) and inflammatory cells
(very slightly elevated) I am still waiting for results on enzymes. Anybody
have this done? Does it always take this long? I also had a visual and
auditory evoked potential test done last week. My neuro suspects MS because
the left side of my head and left arm have lost feeling within the last 6
weeks. I was originally affected on my right leg last February and although
some feeling came back this summer it seems to be increasing lately as my
left arm also went. Fortunately, it is only the feeling that is affected
and I have fairly normal use, just a little clumsy.
This disorder has really made me realize how much modern medicine
does NOT know understand! I had never been ill except for the occasional
colds and things that were either easily treated or went away on their own.
Well, off to the airport to pick up my husband. Don't know if I
mentioned that he commutes from Cleveland to Boston for his work. Long
distance marriage is hard at best but this condition is not making it any
easier.
