Are you sure it's your kidney? I get a pain in my lower back on the right
side (feels like location of my kidney) and on my right inter-thigh on
occasion. It always goes away after I have a bowel movement.

I use to take amatriptiline the first 2 years. I was told it was an
anti-depressent and it would help me sleep. I didn't feel depressed and
didn't have trouble sleeping so I stopped taking it. I had those
"electrical" pains (I also describe it as tingling or sunburn feeling) once
in awhile.
