Texas TM Coalition

The Texas TM Coalition has not met for almost a year. I fully take the blame for this, although, I have an excellent excuse; a six month old daughter! We did finally have a meeting in November 2005 in Austin.

This group has functioned, primarily, through email exchanges and linking persons with TM together in various parts of the state. Texas is too big to have statewide support group meetings. We do try our best to get people with TM the support they need through email. We have representatives in Austin, the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Houston.

We have meetings 2-3 times a year (usually) in Austin that all are welcome to attend. These meetings usually include our “regulars” and folks who may only attend once or twice. We’ve had folks drive in from as far as Waco, College Station and Houston. We have lively conversations on all TM topics including symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, physicians and caregiver issues.
