There is always hope!

Without hope, we have nothing.  As doctors order lab tests, after performing numerous physical exams, still providing us with no answers, we must maintain some semblance of hope; for without it we have nothing left.

I think back often to May 1997; life seemed so “normal” way back then.  I learned on June 2nd that there never was.  With my numbness, tingling, gait, pain, and other sensory issues would come an AVM (arteriovenous malformation) that would be inoperable until 2000!  This was followed by a couple of brain hemorrhages, an inoperable brain aneurysm, and seizures.

I had my 2nd and 3rd brain surgeries in 2005.  The final surgery, after monitoring, was for the seizures.  I had a stroke during the surgery.  Yes, I would still have the surgery knowing what I know today, because faith and hope are a healthy force!  I can live with TM and I can rehab from a stroke and any lasting effects.  Seizure-free is a good, hopeful feeling!  If we don’t have hope, we can’t have growth!  I have seen many miracles in my life.  I was a labor and delivery nurse.  A mere man has held my brain in his hands; on more than one occasion!  There is always hope!  For if G-d brought you to it, He will see you through it!
