San Diego TM Support Group

The TMA has a large number of members in San Diego County.  I would like to start a TM support group in our area and I am hoping that others will be interested in getting involved. 

My background with TM is relatively new.  My diagnosis in June, 2005 left me confused and scared.  The TMA website was like a beacon in the storm of my reality.  Logging in and chatting with others in the same situation was such a relief.  The advice and support was imperative to my confidence and ability to continue facing the challenges every day brings.  Without the TMA I shudder to think how the depression and pain would have affected me permanently. 

So I feel it would be even more beneficial for us all to come together in person; to share our experiences and know we are still strong!  Computers are great, but they make it difficult to convey the emotional rollercoaster this diagnosis can bring.

Perhaps you or other members have some ideas as to where we can meet?  In Balboa Park there is a Veteran’s gymnasium that I know can accommodate a fairly large group and has facilities for easy accessibility and food preparation.  Any suggestions would be welcomed.  Please feel free to email me at: DrDavis@SDoptometry.com.  I look forward to hearing from you.
