Dear All
Thank you for coming to the meeting, it was lovely to see you all there.  We started the meeting with the AGM.

Kelvin handed out a summary of the accounts.
Since we are a very small charity we have not got many expenses. Total as of end of March was

We have also received a letter from Ketley Parish Council with a donation of £100 which is gratefully received. We are very happy with the continued support we get from the Ketley Parish Council.

We continued by re-appointing Anna and Kelvin with Kelvin taking on the treasury responsibilities.

Suggestion on changing the time of the meeting was discussed again with a proposal to have the meetings in the evening.

Request to investigate hypnotherapy in terms of management of pain. Also, to look at booking the pain nurse from the Princess Royal. Another good idea was to ask an incontinent nurse to come in and see us. Christian has kindly offered to ask around to see who might be able to come in.

New Member:

We would like to welcome Paul Route, his wife Sue and his mum to the meeting. Paul was struck down very fast with TM in 2004.  It took them 14 days to diagnose TM but before that they sent Paul home. He had to go back in as he lost all his mobility. They said he would never walk again when he was at the hospital. Paul proved them wrong and he is now back at work.  But Paul is still suffering a lot with pain. He has tried different painkillers but since he is a lorry driver there is a limit to what he can take.

We all enjoyed a lovely meal at the White Horse in Ketley. Many thanks to the landlord for taking us in with short notice and providing us with a lovely meal.

At the next meeting a guest speaker will be attending. We are pleased to inform you that Mrs. Jayne Williams from the Telford Hypnotherapy Clinic in Wellington will be joining us. She will give us an insight in to how Hypnotherapy could help with pain relief.

The next meeting will be on Thursday 17th July from 2 to 4 pm at Ketley Parish Community Centre in Telford.
Also, if any member needs to get in contact with us, you can reach Anna on 01952-270987, e-mail annaphabegger@myelitis.org.uk or Kelvin on 01384-350286, e-mail  kelvin.holmes@blueyonder.co.uk

All the best,
Anna and Kelvin
