The purpose of the Ohio support group is to advance the mission of the Transverse Myelitis Association by facilitating support and networking opportunities amongst TM families, providing educational information to people or organizations within the state, raising awareness of TM, and raising monies to fund and support TM research and innovative treatment efforts. We also aid and are available to assist the TMA at large in some of the routine operational tasks, such as logistical and event organizational support for TMA membership mailings, and other various needs.

We accomplish this by holding regular meetings, developing and sponsoring fundraising campaigns, and attracting media attention to group sponsored events and maintaining close contact with the Board of Directors of the Transverse Myelitis Association.
