Goals of the our group:

• We would like to aid in as many ways as possible to help the Transverse Myelitis Association raise money, awareness and spread education. To do this we need support groups throughout the state. I am hoping this one will encourage others to start groups in their area. This is the only one in the state.

• We want to try to educate the doctors, nurses, therapist and people in the state of Mississippi about TM. There are not a lot of people in the state familiar with TM, and unless you or someone in your family has it, have never heard of it.

• Form lasting bonds with people that understand us and that we can understand. Be there for them when they need us, even if it's only via the net. We want to bring together as many as possible with TM, because for years I felt I was the only person in this state with TM.

• Last and most important tell everyone we know how important it is to donate money. It's tax deductible, and for an excellent cause.
